Ashland Location
Based in Ashland, Massachusetts our small town has so much to offer. With major routes 135 and 126 passing through Ashland. Travel is easy, with our own stop on the Framingham/Worcester Commuter Rail Line and nearby access to both I-90 and I-495. Ashland is considered part of MetroWest, which also consists of the towns of Framingham, Holliston and Hopkinton. It is the “ideal” location; about halfway between the cities of Boston and Worcester. With Ashland’s downtown district being revitalized, we hope to see even more new businesses open. Also part of the route for the Boston Marathon, which began in Ashland on Pleasant Street until the start was moved to Hopkinton’s Main Street in 1924.
We relocated our home and business to Ashland 11 years ago. We enjoy being part of the Ashland community and like the traditions of a small town. The local Farmers Market, Ashland Day, Dragon Fly Festival, and the new Corner Spot are just a few of the town’s fun social events.
In 2016, Ashland High school was ranked #51 among all of the high schools in Massachusetts and #1224 in national school rankings. Education is important to us as we have children in the Ashland Schools.
Ashland’s offers resources at the library or community center. Ashland’s State Park, Ashland’s town forest and the Warren woods are all great places to explore!
Ashland is known for its clocks! Inventor Henry E. Warren developed the Warren Synchronizing Timer in 1916, which made synchronous electric clocks possible by keeping alternating current flowing from power plants at a consistent sixty cycles per second. Warren founded Telechron, which, in partnership with General Electric, manufactured electric clocks in Ashland until 1979. A Warren Synchronizing Timer is on display at the Smithsonian’s Museum of American History in Washington D.C. and the Ashland High School sports teams are coined “The Clockers.”

Forest HandfordJune 14, 2022Santos arrived on time, took great care of our stuff, accepted checks, and finished the job on budget. Our move was especially tricky as we had two locations we were moving from. The second location was the third floor and required them to use a van as the driveway couldn't accommodate a truck. They also were able to disassemble and reassemble a custom built king sized bed. If I ever have to move again I hope they will be available.
